Conference Proceedings Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

All authors submitting a paper to PATT43 will be expected to review at least two other papers, since all submitted papers to the conference will be double-blind peer reviewed. Therefore, authors are also expected to anonymise their submissions to avoid identification, both in terms of document metadata and contents of the paper itself. The proceedings editors reserve the right to reject papers that are outside of the field of technology education, and also based on the quality of the submission. Authors are encouraged to approach peer reviewer comments with an open mind, and adjust/improve their submissions as appropriate. Failure to adequately respond to feedback may also result in a paper being rejected. A disclosure section on the use (or not) of Generative AI tools must be included in the paper, preferably in the methods section.

Authors are expected to use the provided Microsoft Word templates for abstracts and papers respectively, to ensure that the proceedings get a common format that works for electronic publication on the PATT43 OJS platform. The submissions should follow APA 7 both for in-text citations and for the list of references.
